About Us – Wellington Gardening Club
The Wellington Gardening community is built on a simple idea: gardening thrives when people learn, share, and grow together. Our mission is to support local gardeners of every experience level—whether you’re tending your first raised bed, refining your perennial borders, or experimenting with propagation and advanced techniques.
Rooted in Wellington, Ohio, our group focuses on practical, regionally adapted gardening knowledge. We emphasize hands‑on learning, research‑based practices, and the exchange of real experience from gardeners who understand the unique conditions of Northeast Ohio’s Zone 6a climate. From soil health and seed starting to ornamental design and vegetable production, we aim to strengthen the skills and confidence of everyone who joins us.
We believe gardening is more than a hobby. It’s a way to build community, encourage stewardship of the environment, and cultivate beauty and resilience in our shared spaces. Through meetings, workshops, seasonal projects, and collaborative learning, we work to create a welcoming environment where curiosity is encouraged and every gardener has something valuable to contribute.
If you love plants, enjoy learning, and want to connect with others who share your passion, you’re invited to be part of Wellington’s growing gardening community.
