Offcanvas Section

You can publish whatever you want in the Offcanvas Section. It can be any module or particle.

By default, the available module positions are offcanvas-a and offcanvas-b but you can add as many module positions as you want from the Layout Manager.

You can also add the hidden-phone module class suffix to your modules so they do not appear in the Offcanvas Section when the site is loaded on a mobile device.

My Garden in the Village of Wellington, Ohio

These are some of the Vegetables, Fruits, and Flowers I love to grow in my Garden, and around the yard. It is amazing how many varieties God has given us for our enjoyment. Most of the plants you see on this website were started in the basement, under grow lights.

  • LEMON DROP MELONS

    I tried an heirloom watermelon from Baker Creek and will be growing them forever. Crisp, and what a flavor! Tons of melons as well.

  • 2023 Garlic Harvest

    This was the first time I planted Garlic. I planted 2 varieties, Bogatyr, and Italian Red. I got the seed from BJ's Garlic Farm in Oberlin, Ohio

  • LITHIANSUS FROM SEED

    I have been obsessed with Lisianthus Flowers. I just think they are so beautiful. I started these from seed in my basement. I grow more each year.

  • AMBROSIA CORN

    I have been very successful growing the best corn I have ever had, year after year. My Secret? Rooster's Organic Chicken Poop!

Hummingbirds are Amazing!

One of the things I love the most about summer in Wellington, Ohio is the abundance of Hummingbirds. From May to September these amazing creatures keep us amazed at their flying ability. One of the most amazing creatures in GOD's Creation!

I moved to Wellington, Ohio in southern Lorain County, from Lakewood, Ohio in 2017. I had always wanted a
decent size garden, so when I saw the lot for sale with the back yard facing the south, (we have a pool as well).
In Lakewood, I was always surrounded by large Oaks, NO SUNSHINE! So when I saw this lot, with no trees
to shade my garden, I knew this was the place. It took until 2019 to put in my raised bed 26 ft. by 16 ft. garden.
With the help of a younger local, who has helped me with a lot of the work, we laid stone, and filled it in with
20+ Yards of topsoil. I also dug out flower beds by hand , and spent the last 6 years digging.

I attribute my Gardening success to GOD, Sunshine, and Rooster's Organic! https://roostersorganic.com/  Every year, I drive to Dalton, Ohio in my F-150 to get another 12 to 16 40 lb bags of Rooster's Organic Compost. In my 16 by 26 garden I put about 240 to 320 lbs in my vegetable garden. The results are amazing. Organic chicken compost is a super food for your plants. For next year, I expanded using it in my flower beds. I am really excited to see the difference it makes with my flowers.
